Cheshire County WP&SA have the following funding opportunities:
This fund takes the form of three funding streams
- Coach Bursary
- Capital Purchases
- Special Projects
Club Investment Funding
This fund is to support clubs with any capital purchases that will benefit their members. Applications must meet all the required criteria and will be considered on a first come first served basis.
Coaching Bursaries
Gaining a coaching certificate is vital in developing coaching skills. Undertaking training can be costly for the individual and clubs. To support club volunteers in obtaining qualifications, Cheshire Water Polo and Swimming Association can now offer financial support towards completion of coaching qualifications through a coaching bursary.
Which Courses are available
- Assistant Coach (level 1)
- Coach (level 2)
- Senior Coach (level 3)
This bursary is available for all disciplines; Diving, Swimming, Synchronised Swimming and Water Polo.
Safeguarding and Protecting Children
Swim England follows the recommendations made by NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit. Wavepower sets out Swim England’s Child Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
The recommended training for Swim England is UK Coaching: Safeguarding and Protecting Children (S&PC) Workshop.
There is also an online refresher course available for those who have attended the initial face-to-face S&PC workshop.
To support our region Swim England North West have made funds available to support clubs accessing UK Coaching’s Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshops and renewals
